Yes, friends, there’s another Apple event ahead of us. It kicks off Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET, to be exact. And while we saw new iPhones, the Apple Watch Series 7, and two iPads last month, there are still a few things Apple has in store for its next event, which offers the vague tagline: “Unleashed.”

As has become standard, this event will be live-streamed from Apple Park, and it’s widely thought that we’ll be hearing about some MacBook Pros. Usually, you can look to the event tagline as some sort of “clue” as to what products are to come, though that isn’t always the case. This time around, Apple’s hyper-space themed invitation and that “Unleashed” line perhaps hints at something rather speedy. Here’s what we think we know about what Apple has in store.

Will There Be New MacBooks?

After months of rumors and speculation, it seems safe to say that we’ll see redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros. This is the first major refresh for the MacBook Pro in a while, and would be especially notable for the 16-inch MacBook Pro. Apple introduced M1 MacBooks last year—a 13-inch Air and 13-inch Pro—the 16-inch Pro was last refreshed two years ago and, as of right now, still sports an Intel chip.
